What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
I wish we could claim childcare costs such as baby-sitting, especially while your children are young. Something like this, or some financial support, would take away a lot of the pressure faced by parents.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
In Japan, even now, we see women finish working after getting married - never returning to the workforce. It’s my hope that women stay in the workforce and continue to build their careers, unless there are really specific circumstances preventing them from doing so.
