What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
To build up the female workforce, Japan needs to get rid of long working hours and unnecessary hierarchy from its office culture and focus more on productivity. Japan Inc should consider video conference or messaging apps to help working mothers juggle work and family!
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Find a role model! When you feel frustrated with life, go out and meet people…people with positive energy. Treasure those in life who will give you constructive criticism at the high points and those you can cry with when low. They’re usually family or close friends.
