Miki Hirano is a travel journalist/writer/media coordinator and has been based in Sydney since 1998. She hopes to play the role of "connector" or that of a bridge between Australia and Japan.
What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Miki Hirano would like to say to the Japanese government, "Never underestimate the power of a woman."
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Go abroad and experience how globalisation impacts the business world.

日本の政府や企業に期待する、女性が活躍なるための支援はどのようなものがあるでしょうか？
日本は女性の力を生かしきれてないと思うんですよね。なので、日本政府には「女性を過小評価するなー！」と言いたいです（笑）
次世代の若い女性たちへ何かアドバイスはありますか？
海外を出て、いろんな経験をして欲しいです。国際化の目を養うことこは実務の上でも大事だと思うので。
