What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Mio says there is much she could say about how we can support women in Japan but particularly feels that making conditions better for working women - single women, those returning to the workforce as well as new mothers, is the most urgent.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Don't be afraid to speak up and pursue your dreams no matter what. Life is short but it’s also very long. You don't have to go on the same path as everyone. Take time off, travel, ignore the shukatsu system - do internships, find what you are passionate about.
